I have been counting down the days until I could share this with you guys! And finally that day is here!
Ever since Alice was 3 months old I have been planning her first birthday party. I love doing super extravagant unnecessary parties for the smallest things. Some people would say I’m totally extra, but I think it’s so fun to celebrate things! I love decorating and making things beautiful and fun!
When she passed away, I was devastated. I had to, and continue to, mourn every little part of her life I was so greatly anticipating that had been taken from me. I was particularly sad that I wouldn’t be able to throw her a first birthday party. I wanted so badly to celebrate her precious little life and show everyone by way of balloons and confetti just how special she was.
Not long after she passed, I was thinking about her birthday and I decided that I would just throw her a party anyway. I also thought that now, more than ever, she deserved the greatest birthday party of all time. Not only that, but instead of buying her presents we should put money towards a good cause. SO HERE IS THE BIG ANNOUNCEMENT.
In honor of her first birthday we are throwing Alice a birthday party/SIDS research fundraiser! Here is your official invitation!
We will have cake, dancing, and lots of awesome prizes donated by companies like Copper Pearl and Saranoni Blankets! Some of my very favorite bloggers will be there who really know how to party.
If you don’t live in Utah, or even if you do but can’t make it, don’t worry! We will live stream the party and you can donate online! Everyone who donates will be entered to win a grand prize basket!
I am so excited for a night of fun where we can celebrate Alice’s short life and the anniversary of her birth. I am so proud that she is my daughter and I am thrilled that we can dedicate her birthday to a good cause that is relevant to her. I hope to see lots of you there!
PS: If you have a company and would like to get involved by donating something to raffle off please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org! I would love to have you!
